UOP Wins Aromatics Contract

UOP, a Honeywell subsidiary, says it has been selected to supply technology, basic engineering services, and equipment to an aromatics project at Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical’s Jinshan, China complex. Engineering design is in progress and the plant is scheduled for start-up by the end of 2008, UOP says. The plant will include a 600,000-m.t./year para-xylene unit using UOP’s Parex technology.
