Services :: Engineering & Construction UOP Awarded Contract for Singapore Aromatics Plant11:10 AM MDT | October 30, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff UOP, a Honeywell subsidiary, says it has been awarded a contract by Jurong Aromatics Corp. (JAC; Singapore) to supply technology, basic engineering services, and equipment for a $2-billion aromatics complex at Jurong Island, Singapore. UOP has started basic engineering design for the complex, which is expected to be completed in 2011. JAC has awarded SK Engineering and Construction (Seoul) a $900-million contract to build the plant. The complex will use natural gas condensate as feedstock, and have capacity for 800,000 m.t./year of para-xylene, 200,000 m.t./year... This information is only available to Chemical Week subscribers.
