Services :: Engineering & Construction Toyo Engineering Awarded BASF-YPC Expansion Contract4:29 AM MDT | August 25, 2009 | Natasha Alperowicz Toyo Engineering Corp. has been awarded a cost-reimbursable contract by BASF-YPC Co., an equally owned joint venture between BASF and Sinopec, for its previously announced expansion project at Nanjing, China. The Chinese government approved the $1.4 billion expansion last month. Toyo's contract covers engineering, procurement and construction management of the project, dubbed Integrated Petrochemical Site II, which involves adding and expanding capacity of 14 process units as well as of the utility and offsite facilities.
