ThyssenKrupp awarded engineering contract for DME plant in Russia

ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions (Essen, Germany) announced today that it has received an extended basic engineering and license contract to build a dimethyl ether (DME) plant in Russia. The unit will be built at Shchekino for Shchekinoazot (Pervomaysky, Russia). The contractor is DME Aerosol, a joint venture between Shchekinoazot and PCC SE (Duisburg, Germany). The plant will be designed to produce 20,000 m.t./year and will be integrated into the existing production site of Shchekinoazot.   Methanol feedstock will be sourced from recently installed...
