Services :: Engineering & Construction Technip Bags Contract for Epichlorohydrin Plant in China12:14 AM MDT | July 12, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh Technip says it has been awarded an engineering services contract by Solvay for the construction of the previously announced epichlorohydrin (ECH) plant at Taixing, China. The plant will be based on Solvay’s Epicerol technology and will produce 100,000 m.t./year of ECH from glycerin. Technip’s operating center at Shanghai, China will execute the contract, which is scheduled to be completed in 2013, Technip says. Solvay had announced plans to build the ECH plant at Taixing in December 2010. The plant will serve the rapidly growing Chinese ECH market...
