Takamul to award ammonia plant contract in Oman

Oman is expected to award a contract next year to build an ammonia plant in the Salalah Free Zone. The Takamul Investment Co., the downstream investment arm of Oman Oil, is promoting the project. Takamul plans to build a 1,000 m.t./day ammonia plant next to an existing methanol complex owned by Salalah Methanol Co., in which Takamul has a minority stake.   Takamul earlier this month invited international engineering firms to prequalify for the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning contract for the ammonia project.
