PetroChina Selects Unipol for Chengdu PP Unit

PetroChina Sichuan Petrochemical Co., a PetroChina subsidiary, says it has selected Dow Technology Licensing’s Unipol polypropylene (PP) process for a 450,000-m.t./year plant to be built at Chengdu, China. Aker Solutions will provide process design and technical advisory services. The facility will form part of a previously announced petchem complex based on an 800,000-m.t./year ethylene plant, which is being delivered by Stone & Webster.
