Pacific NorthWest awards FEED contracts to 3 consortia for shale gas processing into LNG

Pacific NorthWest LNG, a joint venture in which Petronas (Kuala Lumpur) holds 90% and Japan Petroleum Exploration (Tokyo) 10%, has awarded lump-sum contracts to 3 separate contracting groups to carry out front-end engineering and design (FEED) and early, detailed engineering work for a world-scale liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on Lelu Island, near Prince Rupert, BC.
