Services :: Engineering & Construction Maire Tecnimont Signs LDPE Plant Contract in Russia3:58 AM MDT | April 7, 2009 | Natasha Alperowicz Maire Tecnimont says it has signed a contract worth €15 million ($20.1 million) with Novyi Urengoi Gas Chemical Complex (Novyi Urengoi, Russia), a Gazprom subsidiary, to provide detailed engineering and technology services to expand capacity of a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plant at Novyi Urengoi. Capacity of the plant, which uses LyondellBasell technology, will be raised to 400,000 m.t./year. The plant is currently designed to make 300,000 m.t./year of LDPE, sources say.
