Services :: Engineering & Construction KBR Awarded Fertilizer Deal in Egypt12:07 PM MDT | April 10, 2009 KBR says it has been awarded a contract by Egypt Hydrocarbon Corp. (Cairo) to complete front-end engineering design (FEED) for an ammonium nitrate (AN) plant that will form part of a proposed manufacturing complex near Suez, Egypt. The plant will be designed to produce 1,060 m.t./day of AN and include a nitric acid production facility. Espindesa (Madrid), a subsidiary of Tecnicas Reunidas, is providing technology for both units. KBR will provide engineering services for both units as well as for offsites and utilities.
