Services :: Engineering & Construction KBR Awarded Contract for Coal-Based Ammonia Plant in China5:50 AM MDT | August 2, 2011 | Ian Young KBR says it has been awarded a contract by China National Coal Group (ChinaCoal; Beijing) to provide ammonia technology, process design package, and technical services for two 1,660-m.t./day ammonia synloop units. The plants will be built by China Coal Erdos Energy and Chemical Co., a ChinaCoal subsidiary, in Tuke industrial park at Erdos in the autonomous region of Inner Mongolia, China. It is ChinaCoal's first coal-to-chemicals project. New ammonia plants in China will primarily be based on coal feeds due to restrictions on natural gas supply, KBR says...
