Chinese Firm Builds Bioethanol-to-Bioethylene and EO-EG Complex

Heyang Ethanol and Bio-Glycols Co. (Mengzhou, China) has announced plans to build an ethanol-based petchem complex at Mengzhou City, Henan Province, China. The complex will use Petron Scientech's (Princeton, NJ) bioethylene technology based on bioethanol feedstock and Shell Global Solutions' process to produce ethylene oxide (EO) and ethylene glycol (EG).
