Bolivia Takes Bids on World-Scale Fertilizer Complex

Yacimientos Petroliferos Fiscales de Bolivianos (YPFB; La Paz) says it has received bids from five companies interested in building a world-scale ammonia and urea complex at Entre Ríos, Chochabamba, Bolivia. The complex would produce 650,000 m.t./year of urea and 400,000 m.t./year of ammonia. Korean firms Hyundai and Samsung, Spanish firm Duro Felguera, Italian-Argentine consortium Saipen/AESA, and Italian-Spanish consortium Técnicas Reunidas/Technip have submitted bids on the project, YPFB says.
