BE&K Wins Contract for Activated Carbon Unit

ADA Environmental Solutions (Littleton, CO) says it has awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction contract to BE&K (Birmingham, AL), a subsidiary of KBR, for an activated carbon plant at Red River Parish, LA. The contract value was not disclosed. The plant will have a capacity of 350 million lbs/year, making it the largest activated carbon plant in North America, ADA says. It is due onstream in the first half of 2010. ADA says it also plans to build an activated carbon plant at Bismarck...
