Services :: Engineering & Construction Azerbaijan's $15-Billion Oil, Gas, and Petchems Project Progresses to Detailed Engineering7:10 AM MDT | August 18, 2011 | Natasha Alperowicz The State Oil Co. of Azerbaijan (Socar; Baku) expects to begin work on a previously announced gas processing and petrochemical complex in the Garadag district of Baku in 2013, according to local reports quoting Socar’s president Rovnag Abdullayev. The complex is expected to cost $13 billion-$15 billion and, if all work goes to plan, should be completed in 2018-2020, Abdullayev says. The feasibility study into the complex has already been completed and work has progressed into detailed engineering. That will be followed by the selection of process licensers...
