Services :: Engineering & Construction Aramco Awards Contracts for Saudi Petchem JVs1:01 PM MDT | June 26, 2009 Saudi Aramco and Total have awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction contract to Samsung Engineering for Aramco and Total’s previously announced para-xylene project at Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The p-xylene plant forms part of a planned refinery and petrochemical joint venture. The plant is due to come onstream in 2013. The p-xylene unit will have a capacity of 700,000 m.t./year. Other petchem plants at the complex will make 200,000 m.t./year of polymer-grade propylene and 150,000 m.t./year of benzene. Axens was selected earlier to supply...
