Aker Kvaerner to Change Name to Aker Solutions; Appoints New CEO

Aker Kvaerner (Oslo), a leading global provider of engineering and construction services, technology products and integrated solutions, will propose to the annual general meeting to change its name to Aker Solutions. The company says that during 2007 a new ownership structure was established for Aker Kvaerner as more than 40% of the shares in the company were transferred from Aker to Aker Holding, a holding company controlled by Aker.
