Services :: Engineering & Construction Air Products Buys Texas Hydrogen Plant2:34 AM MDT | September 3, 2009 | Vincent Valk Air Products has purchased an under-construction hydrogen plant in Chorpus Christi, Texas from MarkWest Energy Partners, the company says. The plant, which uses a steam methane reformer (SMR) process, will have a capacity of 30 million cubic feet/day when it comes on-stream in March 2010. The value of the deal was not disclosed. Additionally, Air Products and MarkWest signed an agreement under which the former will provide hydrogen and steam to the latter.
