AMEC Forms Engineering Joint Venture in China

AMEC (London) has formed a chemical engineering joint venture with Shanghai Zone Petrochemical Engineering Co. (SZPE; Shanghai) by acquiring a 35% stake in SZPE with an option to buy another 15% on January 1, 2012. SZPE specializes in design, consultancy and engineering, procurement and construction work. AMEC says that the new joint venture will allow AMEC to undertake detailed engineering in China for the first time.
