Tropical Storm Has Minimal Impact on Gulf Coast Chemical Production

Production at petrochemical plants and refineries operating in Texas and Louisiana  have not been greatly affected by Tropical Storm Edouard, which made landfall on the Texas coast early this morning. Total says that its high-density polyethylene plant at Bayport, TX and polypropylene plant at La Porte, TX were not shut down. “The storm was not severe,” the company says.
