Many small- and mid-size chemical distributors say that they have not yet been seriously affected by the economic crisis and are unclear about how or whether it will affect them. “Distributors tend to be fairly conservative, so they are well-positioned to weather the storm,” says Chris Jahn, president and COO at the National Association of Chemical Distributors (Arlington, VA).
