Services :: Distribution Rail Traffic Rises in First Week of 20101:40 PM MST | January 14, 2010 | Vincent Valk North American chemicals sector rail traffic rose 14.1% during the week ended January 9, to 43,263 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR). U.S. traffic was up 14.6%, to 27,909 cars. Canadian traffic rose 14.2%, to 14,363 cars, while Mexican traffic fell slightly to 991 cars. The figures are increases from the prior week's totals.
