Services :: Distribution Chemicals sector rail traffic rises 2.5%9:47 AM MDT | March 15, 2013 | Vincent Valk Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America rose 2.5% year-on-year (YOY) during the week ended 9 March, to 42,751 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). US traffic declined 3.3%, to 29,196 cars. Canadian traffic rose 19.6%, to 12,256, while Mexican traffic was up 3.8%, to 1,299 cars. Traffic fell from the prior week’s totals.
