Chemicals Sector Rail Traffic Rises 3.5%

Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America rose 3.5% year-on-year for the week ended September 24, to 42,419 cars, the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington) reported. U.S. traffic was up 2.4%, to 29,773 cars. Canadian traffic rose 6%, to 11,380 cars, while Mexican traffic rose 8.2%, to 1,266 cars.
