Chemicals Sector Rail Traffic Rises 3.1%

Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America rose 3.1% year-on-year during the week of April 11, to 42,864 cars, the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington) reported today. U.S. traffic was up 3.2%, to 30,246 cars. Canadian traffic rose 1.3%, to 11,256 cars, while Mexican traffic was up 17.8% to 1,362 cars.
