Chemicals Sector Rail Traffic Rises 0.8%

Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America rose 0.8% year-on-year during the week ended October 22, to 40,910 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). U.S. traffic was up 2.9%, to 29,420 cars. Canadian traffic fell 5.6%, to 10,388 cars, while Mexican traffic rose 15.2%, to 1,102 cars.
