Services :: Distribution Chemicals Sector Rail Traffic Falls 0.8%3:35 PM MST | December 22, 2011 | Vincent Valk Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America fell 0.8% year-on-year for the week ended December 17, to 40,246 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). U.S. traffic fell 0.3%, to 28,453 cars. Canadian traffic fell 4.2%, to 10,644 cars, while Mexican traffic rose 24.5%, to 1,149 cars. Traffic rose from the prior week’s totals.
