Brenntag Acquires Texas Firm Specializing in Well-Treating Chemicals

Brenntag North America says it has acquired Treat-Em-Rite (Pearsall, TX), a firm supplying well-treating chemicals as well as specialized services for the oil and gas sector. Terms were not disclosed. Brenntag says the acquisition offers cross-selling opportunities with products sold by Brenntag subsidiary Coastal Chemical and its existing customers.  Treat-Em-Rite generated sales of $11.2 million in fiscal year 2011. “The acquisition of [Treat-Em-Rite] is a great, strategic fit, especially from a geographic point of view,” says William Fidler...
