Biocon Buys Stake in German Pharma Distributor

Biotechnology company Biocon (Bangalore, India) says it has reached an agreement to acquire a 70% stake in pharmaceutical distributor AxiCorp (Friedrichsdorf, Germany) for €30 million. Biocon says the acquisition will help it market products—including generics, biosimilars, biologics, and innovative pharmaceutical products—in Europe. Mazumdar-Shaw: Closer to Europe.
