Barentz Acquires a Controlling Stake in Food Ingredients Distributor

Barentz Europe (Hoofddorp, the Netherlands) will acquire a controlling stake in REWE Food Ingredients (RFI; Cologne) by January 1, 2012. The acquisition is expected to strengthen Barentz's sourcing of food ingredients in Asia for distribution in Europe. The exact size of the stake was not disclosed.
