S&P: Chemicals Sector Credit Ratings to Continue Improving

Credit rating trends in the chemicals sector were "strongly positive" in the second-quarter and will likely continue improving through the rest of the year, according to a report by ratings agency Standard and Poor's (S&P; New York). The report reached conclusions similar to S&P's first-quarter report on chemicals, which noted that improved earnings, volumes, and capital markets were all contributing to a sanguine corporate credit outlook in the sector.
