Report: U.S. Propylene Market Set to Grow Through 2014

U.S. chemical firms are projected to distribute 8.2 billion pounds of propylene resins by 2014, up from 6.8 billion pounds last year, according to a new report by consultancy (?) BCC Research (Wellesley, MA). That amounts to compound annual growth rate of 3.7%, the report says. The largest part of the market, food and industrial/consumer packaging, totaled 2.8 billion pounds last year and is expected to grow to 3.4 billion pounds by 2014.
