Report: ALD Materials and Equipment Market to Reach $978 Million by 2014

The global market for atomic layer deposition (ALD) materials and equipment is poised to reach $978 million by 2014, a significant increase from $199 million in 2009, according to a report by BCC Research. That figure represents a compound annual growth rate of 37.5%, BCC says. ALD materials and equipment are capable of deposing nanofilms on different surfaces, and are used for semiconductors and the manufacture of other advanced devices. Equipment, the larger of the two market segments, is set to grow to $579 million by 2014 from $120.8 million in 2009...
