Report: ALD Materials and Equipment Market to Reach $978 Million by 2014

The global market for atomic layer deposition (ALD) materials and equipment is poised to reach $978 million by 2014, a significant increase from $199 million in 2009, according to a report by BCC Research. That figure represents a compound annual growth rate of 37.5%, BCC says. ALD materials and equipment are capable of deposing nanofilms on different surfaces, and are used for semiconductors and the manufacture of other advanced devices.
