Second-Half Focus

The second-half 2010 outlook is coming into sharper focus and things don’t look as dire as recent stock market turmoil would indicate. Growth is moderating, but second-quarter results and producer comments on the outlook for the rest of the year still point to a gradual, self-sustaining economic recovery (p. 6). Producers reaffirmed or raised full-year estimates, with the exception of Sherwin-Williams, which warns that third-quarter earnings may fall short of estimates.
