The chemical industry continues to look to China to drive growth. Attendees at last week’s China Petroleum and Chemical International Conference (CPCIC) in Shanghai, co-organized by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and CW, are upbeat about prospects and indications are that China will continue to lead recovery (p. 15). The Chinese economy grew rapidly during first-half 2010, with GDP increasing 11.1% over the same period last year.
