Adjusting to the New Norms

As DuPont chairman and CEO Chad Holliday noted on the companyâ€™s investor call last week, U.S. housing and automotive markets will eventually recover and revert to the norm but there will be some notable adjustments. The level of U.S. residential home builds is not likely to return to the 2005 peak of 2.1 million soon but those that are built will be much more energy efficient, an inviting opportunity for chemical makers supplying innovative materials that improve energy efficiency.
