WTO Rules Against China’s curbs on Raw Material Exports

The World Trade Organization (WTO; Geneva) has ruled that China’s practice of restricting exports of certain key raw materials, including some used extensively by the chemical industry, violates international trade regulations. A WTO panel backed a case brought jointly by the European Union (EU), U.S., and Mexico, and says the export restrictions should be removed.
