Tronox Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection

Tronox says it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection for its U.S. operations, citing a need for relief from legacy environmental liabilities. Most of the liabilities are not related to its titanium dioxide (TiO2) operations and were incurred prior to its spin-off from Kerr-McGee in 2006, Tronox says.
