McKinsey Study Finds Industry is Net Saver of GHG Emissions

A study by McKinsey and Co., commissioned by the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA), has concluded that the chemical industry enables net savings of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions or more than double industry emissions. For each ton of carbon dioxide-equivalent (CO 2 e) emitted by the chemical sector, its products eliminate 2 m.t.-2.5 m.t. of CO 2 e, the report says.
