Ineos, Solvay sign deal for chlorvinyls JV to be named Inovyn

Ineos and Solvay say that they have signed a definitive agreement to create their previously announced European chlorvinyls joint venture, which they will name Inovyn. The jv is expected to start operating by year-end following divestments required by the European Commission. The commission approved the proposed merger subject to Ineos divesting suspension polyvinyl chloride assets in France, Germany, and the Netherlands; ethylene dichloride plants in Belgium and the United Kingdom; and vinyl chloride monomer and chlor-alkali units in Belgium.
