Ineos Eyes U.S. Ethylene Oxide Unit

Ineos Oxide, an Ineos subsidiary, says it is considering plans for a U.S. Gulf Coast ethylene oxide (EO) unit that would have capacity of at least 500,000 m.t./year. “The U.S. is an obvious location for Ineos Oxide to consider its next expansion,” says Hans Casier, Ineos Oxide CEO. “It is a market we know well, where Ineos Group already has a well placed manufacturing presence that is capable of taking full advantage of competitively priced feedstocks.” The project would also include “appropriately sized” glycol and derivatives units.
