Eastman Raises Third-Quarter Earnings Estimates

Eastman Chemical has raised its third-quarter and full-year 2010 earnings estimates on improved selling prices and strong sales volumes that outpaced normal seasonal patterns. Third-quarter earnings are expected to be $2.20-$2.30/share, above previous expectations, says president and CEO Jim Rogers. The company announced in July that it estimated earnings of $1.65-$1.75/share.
