Chemical Week Magazine :: Top of the Week Corn Products Acquires National Starch from Akzonobel8:18 AM MDT | June 25, 2010 | NATASHA ALPEROWICZ AkzoNobel says it has agreed to sell its National Starch (Bridgewater, NJ) business to Corn Products International (Westchester, IL) for $1.3 billion in cash. The buyer will also assume certain pension and employee benefit liabilities. The transaction has been approved by the boards of AkzoNobel and Corn Products, and it is expected to close at the end of the third quarter.
