Bayer Mulls Ethane Cracker in WV, Players Eye NGL Market

Bayer says is considering leasing or selling land in West Virginia to attract investors interested in building an ethane cracker in order to take advantage of natural gas liquids (NGLs) produced from shale-gas deposits in the Marcellus shale play. “We are engaged in some early discussions to explore this possibility with a range of stakeholders,” a Bayer spokesperson says.
