Chemical Week Magazine :: Specialty Chemicals Synergy Buys Flavors Maker10:13 AM MDT | July 23, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Food ingredient maker Carbery Group (Ballineen, Ireland) says its flavors unit Synergy Flavors (Wauconda, IL) has acquired Vanlab (Rochester, NY), a producer of vanilla-flavored products. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Synergy says the deal will give it “an industry-leading position in a broad range of vanilla products.” The acquisition will increase Synergy’s business in the U.S., the company says.
