Chemical Week Magazine :: Specialty Chemicals Specialty Chemical Earnings Rise on Higher Selling Prices2:03 PM MDT | July 25, 2007 | Kerri Walsh Most U.S. specialty chemical makers’ fourth-quarter 2006 results came out ahead of analysts’ estimates. Specialty producers say they benefited from higher selling prices and improved volumes, as well as an easing in raw material and energy costs. Rohm and Haas’s (R&H) earnings from continuing operations rose 30%, to $167 million (76 cts/share), including restructuring charges. Earnings excluding charges were up 4%, to 81 cts/share.
