Chemical Week Magazine :: Specialty Chemicals Sika Buys Spanish Construction Chemicals Firm2:26 PM MDT | October 17, 2011 Sika plans to acquire Comercial de Preresa (Copsa; Madrid), a company with a strong position in the flooring, repair, and reinforcement markets in Spain and Portugal. Copsa operates three production sites in Spain, which are included in the deal. Financial terms were not disclosed. Sika already owned a 34% stake in Copsa. The deal will enable Sika, which is already a leading supplier of construction chemicals, to strengthen its position in the Spanish market.
