Rockwood Sells U.S. Reclaim Unit

Rockwood Holdings has sold the U.S. operations of its wafer reclaim business to Pure Wafer (Swansea, U.K.), a silicon wafer reclaim services provider, for approximately $11 million. The deal includes a 200-millimeter (mm) manufacturing line at Prescott, AZ. Pure Wafer says it plans to invest $7 million to build a 300-mm reclaim line.
