PPG Acquires Champion’s High-Performance and Marine Coatings Assets

PPG Industries says it has acquired certain assets of Champion Coatings (Houston), a maker of high-performance coatings for the marine, rail, and overland industries. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Champion’s sales and profits were also not disclosed. The acquired assets include accounts receivable, brand names, formulations and customer lists, inventory, and select equipment, PPG says.
