PCC expands in Illinois

Plastics Color Corp. (PCC; Calumet City, IL) is expanding its black masterbatches manufacturing capabilities at Calumet City, says the company. The capacity of the plant has not been disclosed, although the expansion will add 40,000 sq ft of space to the plant, PCC says. The expansion is expected to be operational by the end of 2014. “Due to a rapid expansion in our black production business, we’ve recently gone to a seven-day a week schedule to meet customer demand [at the plant], increasing our capacity by 18% this December,” says Doug Borgsdorf...
